The Town Council is responsible for the management and maintenance of the Sir George Morse Park, Fitzmaurice Park, Tree Plantation and River Green open spaces.

Maintenance of these open spaces, River Green hanging baskets, the welcome sign planters, Yarmouth Road roundabout floral display and town signs are undertaken by our Parks & Estates team.

Play Areas – The Council owns and maintains the children’s play areas situated at Fitzmaurice Park and Sir George Morse Park. These are inspected regularly but please report to us any defects or vandalism that you may notice.

As part of its responsibilities, the Council maintains town boundary signs and TSA town signs, bus shelters and town notice boards.

The Town Council is also responsible for its buildings, the Town Hall, Morse Pavilion, Roxley Hall and the public toilets on River Green.

Litter and dog waste bins within Fitzmaurice Park, Sir George Morse Park and River Green are also managed by the Council. Street located bins are managed by Broadland District Council.

We also manage street lighting,  except for the lights on Dussindale. These remain the responsibility of Norfolk County Council.
