Thorpe St Andrew Town Council

Thorpe St Andrew Town Council Planning Meetings

The Town Council are consulted for comments on all planning applications made to the Broads Authority or Broadland District Council. Local planning applications are allocated to a councillor on the Planning Committee dependant upon the location. We aim to match the plans with a member who lives in the relevant ward. The member will then study the plans and more often than not visit the applicant and neighouring properties for their views.

The plans are then discussed at Planning Committee meetings that take place every month on the second Monday in the month at the Meeting Room, Dussindale Community Centre, Pound Lane, Thorpe St Andrew NR7 0SR. A copy of the agenda can be emailed on request by emailing info@thorpestandrew-tc.gov.uk the week before the meeting. Members of the public are most welcome to attend and there is normally an opportunity to speak or ask questions on planning applications during the meeting. The Council's comments are then passed to Broadland District Council or the Broads Authority as appropriate who make the final decision. The Council are also notified of decisions made.

A full list of planning applications received and decisions made can be found on the Broadland District Council Planning website and at www.broads-authority.gov.uk Most applications are dealt with by Broadland District Council although properties near or close to the river will have their planning applications determined by the Broads Authority.
