Farmers Market
Thorpe St Andrew Farmers Market is help on the last Friday of each month at the St Andrews Centre behind the Good Shepherd church on Thunder Lane from 9am to 1pm. There is usually fresh bread, fish, meat, vegetables, plants and cakes on sale. Tea and coffee is also available.
Plans to develop a new community at Belmore and Racecourse woods
The Town Council was informed of a "Charette" that the Broadland Land Group set up at short notice at the beginning of July as part of a week long public consultation on their proposals to build houses in the woods. Community Speed Watch
Have you got one hour a week spare? If so the Community Speed Watch team are looking for volunteers to help them carry out their work in the Yarmouth Road and Dussindale areas. If you would like further information please contact, in the first instance, the Town Council office on 01603 701048.

EVENTS
End of summer Fun Day 5 September
An end of sumer Fun Day will be held at the Recreation Ground, Laundry Lane on Sunday 5 September. The day starts with the monthly car boot sale at 8am and a series of activities aimed at entertaining the whole family will take place during the course of the day. Admission is free.
There will be circus performers, Punch and Judy, model helicopter display, bouncy castles, charity fun stands, real ale bar and local skaters will also be taking part. The Vineyard Church will be holding their lively service on the Recreation Ground instead of their usual venue at Thorpe St Andrew School.
A newsletter is printed by the Town Council to publicise events and provide news and information about Thorpe St Andrew. The next edition is due out towards the end of August. Laundry Lane Car Boot sale
Car boot sales are held on the first Sunday of every month at the Recreation Ground, Laundry Lane from April to October again in 2010. Starts 8.00am - pitches £5, no need to book just pay on the day.
Christmas light event
The Christmas Light switch on will take place on Saturday 27 November and the annual Christmas Concert will be held at Dussindale Community Centre on Wednesday 8 December.
All of these events are organised by Thorpe St Andrew Town Council’s Events Committee for the social well being of all residents of Thorpe St Andrew to bring our community closer. Please do call us if you wish to be involved in any way with any of the planned events.
